This is the worst place to take your car for a restoration. The Owner will promise a show car but doesn't have a clue what that means. Don't expect to get it done right the first or second time. Things you should be aware of. They don't have a lift. If you question the work you will be talked down to and belittled because the owner can't answer your question as he doesn't know. Check out the shop itself. No room to work. Many cars being worked on at the same time. Yours might be the one sitting next to a car that is being primed or spot painted with no protection. Get everything in writing to avoid being double or triple billed for the same thing. Whatever you do. Don't pay cash. Get a receipt detailing what your paying for. Once again GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Be prepared to hire an attorney. I had a 1971 Barracuda totally "restored" at a cost of $70,000 for labor $20,000 in parts. Not counting motor and the car still isn't finished. He gave me invoices for $28,000 even though my statements total $70,000. I have removed the car and taken it somewhere else to finish the assemble and interior. The quality of work is not show condition and won't bring the money I have in it. This being said. I'm sure they will contradict everything I've mentioned. I have the paperwork they don't. I can back up everything I've stated. You can contact me at my shop at 105 W Main St. Garner Coins and Collectibles. I will be happy to show (pictures)and tell you what your in for. The worst experience you can imagine. Thomas Creech Being Fair to his Employees. They are very loyal to their Boss. They do as well as can be expected with the working conditions, tools and equipment at their disposal. And they definitely earn every dime they are paid. +27
