THIS MAN IS A SCAMMER AND WILL TAKE ALL OF YOUR MONEY!!! My uncle was recommended to him by a now former friend, and all this man did was destroy my uncles truck and take his hard earned money. Hopefully going to court will give my uncle his money back and some justice as well. BEWARE, DONT NOT GO TO THIS POS FOR SIDE WORK

WARNING! do not take anything there for work.Carper will ask for money up front. Take a few parts off than ask more money. Dont be fooled by him. drove my 66 impala to him. Wanted ac an power steering which he said he had. 5 weeks later he still didnt have the parts an wanted more money. Told him im coming for the car.he took a few parts off an broke alternator. He wanted it to appear like he was working on it an keep your deposit. Had to have it towed home. An attorney there told me im lucky, saw one case the owner didnt get the car back. He has a history of this. When the tow truck came the driver said he did the same ting to him. Youve been warned.!

At first they strike you as doing a good job, but once you have left your car with them they take it apart and start asking for more money. After months of them having your car it gets back to you and it does not look as good as it should. Very disappointed in the overall experience with Derek's Custom Finishes.
      - 1/25/2015 - I don't know about the quality of the painting And bodywork, so I won't comment on that. I will state that on mechanical work the quality Is not there. My repair lasted all of two weeks And then I had the same problem. He (Mr. Carper) stated that the initial diagnosis Was not the problem. I was not credited for this Work on the next repair, which cost additional Money. 1,150 dollars later the problem was solved. Not a place of high Integritty in my opinion. Needless to say, no more work was referred To this business.
      - 7/28/2015 - I would not recommend this business to anyone. I left Derek a truck to paint and it took him months to finish it when it shouldn't have taken him more than two weeks, max. It was very strange because when I received the truck back it had a different carburetor on it than it had when I left it there. I told Derek this and all he did was play it off as if I was trying to get a brand new carb for free. Several months after the paint job at Derek's, I had to take the truck to a different shop to fix the mistakes he made. I will never take anything back to Derek's again. It was a complete waste of money.
