My entire experiences with this company and owner John D. Burdge, JD, have been dissatisfying to say the least. I brought a 2012 model SUV, purchased new in November 2011, to JD to only fix hail dents in March of this year (2012). Until my vehicle suffered hail damage it hadn’t experienced any other damages and in fact JD and his company is literally the only company to preform any bodywork, paint work, and/or repairs to my vehicle. Until the time I looked up JD’s company I hadn’t heard of it. That doesn’t mean anything negative but reflects that he didn’t come highly recommended to me. Up until this very date July 14th, 2012 JD has had to “attempt” three different times to fix my vehicle. The first time was solely to repair the hail dents, the second time was to repair broken parts, replace windows he scratched, and repaint parts of my vehicle where he didn’t do it correctly the first time. The last attempt made to correctly return my vehicle in the condition it was delivered in, with the exception of the hail damage, he had to repaint my entire vehicle, replace one of the same windows he had already replaced because it was leaking severely, and remove scratched the he caused to my car. JD had THREE different chances to fix all of either his and/or his employee’s mistakes. The point that some people try to make and defend JD by saying that he paints show cars is simply useless because if so fact were true then why can’t a man with such skill not complete my simple repairs and paint job correctly after THREE attempts. I’m sure JD has competed some exceptional work in the past but from my encounters with him he hasn’t. JD has agreed to me and other parties several times verbally that he’d pay for another company to fix his mistakes. JD even agrees with me that his work on my car is unexceptional and knows it needs repairs. I’ve taken my vehicle to two different BBB accredited body shops, Bradshaw Collision Repair and Payne Chevrolet in Springfield. The damages caused by B and J Automotive Collision/Restoration quote at over $11,000. Now that JD has seen just how severe the damages actually are his is now trying to renegotiate. The fact of the matter is that the damages are just that bad and he is trying to escape paying for ALL of them to be fixed. My vehicle still has dents in the hood, a bad paint job, scratches on my windows, broken interior parts, and compound all over my door handles etc. I am in no way trying to take advantage of anyone but I assure you that the person responsible for all the damages is JD and I will be seeking justice through the legal system. I have communicated very well with JD over the past three months and kept him informed of everything that’s gone wrong as well as being up front about where I took by car to be appraised and personally delivered each appraisal to him. I have offered JD a chance to simply pay for the repairs by someone else and this would be settled but he refuses. I’ve been very clear of my intentions that I wouldn’t back down and if he didn’t pay then I would be suing him.
